The association, S.O.S. Attentats
("attentats" means "terrorist attacks" in French),
was founded on January 24th 1986 by Françoise Rudetzki, General Delegate,
who, herself, was a victim of a terrorist attack in Paris on December 23rd 1983.

Since its foundation, S.O.S.
ATTENTATS has looked after approximately 3000 people.

We support the victims and the deceased victims’ families at each stage of the proceedings.

We accompany the victims during the legal procedures and common law cases.

According to section 2-9 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, S.O.S. Attentats is allowed to file claims for damages in criminal proceedings concerning terrorist acts.

We publish a brochure
which informs the victims and their families of their rights.
|
 |
We publish a newsletter
"Voice of the Victims".
|
 |
We fight against oblivion by organising an
annual ceremony in memory of all the victims of terrorism.
|
 |
We work towards the recognition and improvement of
the rights of victims of terrorism, contribute to international
ideas on better protection of the victims, regardless of their
nationality or status, and participate in the fight against impunity.

ATTENTATS is the spokesperson for the victims when dealing with legal authorities.
